WORKSPACE MIGRATION

Cloud Migration.

Moving from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365 — or the other way around — is one of the most complex migrations an MSP can handle. We've done it repeatedly and know exactly where things break. Email, drive data, calendars, contacts, and identity — all migrated with zero data loss and minimal downtime.

Google Workspace to Microsoft 365

The most common migration path for businesses moving into the Microsoft ecosystem. We handle the full transition — Gmail to Exchange Online, Google Drive to OneDrive/SharePoint, Google Calendar to Outlook, and Google Directory to Entra ID.

  • Gmail → Exchange Online (full mailbox history)
  • Google Drive → OneDrive / SharePoint document migration
  • Google Calendar → Outlook calendar sync
  • Contacts and groups migration
  • Google Directory → Entra ID identity migration
  • MX record cutover with zero mail loss

Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace

Less common but equally complex. We migrate businesses from the Microsoft stack into Google Workspace — including Exchange mailboxes, OneDrive/SharePoint files, and AD/Entra identities into Google Directory.

  • Exchange Online → Gmail (full mailbox history)
  • OneDrive / SharePoint → Google Drive migration
  • Outlook Calendar → Google Calendar sync
  • Contacts and distribution lists migration
  • Entra ID → Google Directory identity migration
  • DNS and MX record cutover management

Everything Moves

Nothing gets left behind.

Email & Archives

Full mailbox migration including sent, received, drafts, folders, and archived mail. Years of history preserved with timestamps intact.

Files & Documents

Drive, OneDrive, and SharePoint file migration with folder structure, sharing permissions, and version history preserved where supported.

Calendars & Contacts

Calendar events, recurring meetings, shared calendars, and contact lists — all mapped to their equivalents in the target platform.

Identity & Access

User accounts, groups, and access policies migrated from Entra ID to Google Directory (or vice versa) with SSO and MFA configuration.

DNS & MX Cutover

We manage the DNS transition — MX records, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and autodiscover — with a planned cutover window and rollback plan if needed.

Post-Migration Validation

Full validation after cutover — mail flow testing, file integrity checks, calendar sync verification, and user acceptance testing before sign-off.

The Process

Five steps to a
clean migration.

01

Discovery

Audit existing environment — user count, data volume, integrations, and dependencies.

02

Planning

Migration timeline, batch groupings, rollback plan, and stakeholder communication schedule.

03

Pilot

Migrate a small batch of users first. Validate data integrity and user experience before scaling.

04

Cutover

Full migration execution — DNS switch, MX cutover, and final data sync during the maintenance window.

05

Validation

Post-migration testing, user training handoff, and 2-week hypercare support period.

Cloud Migration Questions

What kinds of migrations do you handle?

Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and vice versa, tenant-to-tenant M365 migrations for mergers and acquisitions, and workload moves to Azure and AWS. Email, files, identities, and permissions all included.

Will users lose email or files during migration?

No. We migrate with overlap and verification — mail flow stays live, data is validated on the other side, and we cut over only once everything checks out. Users typically notice nothing but the new environment.

How do you handle a tenant-to-tenant migration after an acquisition?

In stages — identity mapping, coexistence for mail flow, staged data moves, and a planned cutover. M&A migrations are among the trickiest, which is exactly why MSPs bring us in.

How long does a cloud migration take?

It depends on user count, data volume, and complexity, but most SMB migrations run one to a few weeks including planning and verification. We give you a firm timeline after scoping.
